About Dr. Isagani Leal

Dr. Isagani Leal of CMS Asia

Dr. Isagani Leal was invited by the Orthohealing Center in Los Angeles California as one of the international guest speakers in the PRP Seminar onthis coming May 13-14, 2011 in California. He discussed about the Knee Osteoarthritis using PRP with Viscosupplementation.

Dr. Leal is a graduate of MCU-FDTMF College of Medicine in 1994. After passing the Physicians Licensure Examination, he had undergone a pre-residency training in Rehabilitation Medicine at Apolinario Mabini Physical Rehabilitation Department of University of Santo Tomas Hospital. Subsequently he was absorbed by the Department of Health Philippines as Regional Program Manager in Community Based Rehabilitation Program. While he was at the DOH, he had the opportunity to take Master Studies in Public Health at the Institute of Community and Family Health at Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

In 2004, he was sent by the DOH thru the Tel Aviv University- International Post-Graduate Training Program in Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel to undergo a four-year Post-graduate training in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Medicine which he then finished last November 2008.

While on training, he had the opportunity to attend comprehensive courses in Orthopedic Medicine at Royal Bournemouth Hospital in England under Prof. Elaine Atkins in October 2006, Fluoroscopic Guided Spinal Interventions at University of South Florida College of Medicine last December 2007 and Musculoskeletal Acupuncture in China-Beijing International Training Center in Beijing last June 2008.

He is a member of Israeli Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine, International Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society and Philippine Society of Ultrasound for Clinical Medicine.His field of training and practice in Musculoskeletal Medicine is geared towards diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and minimally invasive Fluoroscopic and Ultrasound guided interventions for musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries utilizing Regenerative Medicine thru Platelet Riched Plasma Therapy (PRP) and Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy.

He is presently the Director of Center for Musculoskeletal Science-Asia in West Avenue Quezon City, Consultant to Musculoskeletal and Back Pain Unit of Delos Santos-STI Medical Center, Department of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine of Air force Hospital and Sports Medicine Consultant to Philippine National Athletes.
